Dr.Seuss Under Attack

Dr.Seuss Under Attack

I remember loving Dr. Seuss books as a child and loved reading them to my children when they were little.

Hop on Pop, Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat being among the favorites.

Just last week, local newscasts reported on local schools around the nation celebrating Dr. Seuss Day. High school students visited elementary schools to read to the younger students.

And today, we hear that Dr. Seuss is a racist.

Because…according to leftest academia…less than 2% of characters in Dr. Seuss are persons of color.

I am truly speechless. Dr. Seuss books are iconic stories and gk of our nation’s cultural fabric. They are books that are fantastical and make reading fun for early readers.

But the left has been striving to destroy everything that unites people in America in any way: prayer in school, statues of historical people of our American past, the Ten Commandments in front of courthouses, Christopher Columbus, John Wayne and now a beloved children’s author: Dr. Seuss!

Now I know my generation and the previous generation are not going to let go of Dr. Seuss.

Hopefully my children’s generation, to whom we read our favorite Dr. Seuss books will not let go of it either… but slowly these millennials and the kids behind them will embrace the ridiculous idea that Dr. Seuss was a racist and his books are poison to the next generation…

But wait—these are the same kids that are being told the world is going to end in 12 years and they should choose not to have children anyway!

Sorry folks, this is the same ridiculousness that is creating the Green New Deal! And of course that will not work! Instead of the Green New Deal, let’s embrace Green Eggs and Ham instead:

Say! I like green eggs and ham!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-Am!
And I would eat them in a boat.
And I would eat them with a goat…
And I will eat them, in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good, so good, you see!
So I will eat them in a box.
And I will eat them with a fox.
And I will eat them in a house.
And I will eat them with a mouse.
And I will eat them here and there.
Say! I will eat them anywhere!
I do so like green eggs and ham!
Thank you! Thank you, Sam-I-Am.
